Students work with certified art teachers and university faculty to understand how the arts communicate important ideas, thoughts and feelings throughout the world. Students create and perform as they develop appreciation for the historical and cultural significance of the arts in their lives. The lessons demonstrate the value of creativity in learning by supporting the National and Virginia standards for education in the arts.
